Linus Gitahi CEO Runner

I recently wrote a few posts about some posts that Linus Gitahi had written about Kenyan runners. While I found his blogs intriguing, I did not know who Linus Gitahi was. Today, I discovered that Linus Gitahi has just been made the CEO of Nation Media Group, the largest media firm in East and Central Africa.

Previous to this promotion, Linus was an executive for a global pharmaeutical company called, GlaxoSmithKline. In addition to his time-consuming careers, Linus Gitahi serves as a non-executive director of three different organizations: Equity Bank, Ltd Afrika Investment Bank, and Federation of Keny Employer. He still has time to spend with his family--his wife and two daughters.

With his new position, Linus Gitahi will oversee eight large newspapers for Africa: the Daily Nation, Saturday Nation, Sunday Nation, Taifa Leo, Taifa Jumapili, The EastAfrican, Business Daily and Daily Metro. In addition to publishing these renowned newspapers, Linus will oversee the distribution of these papers with the Nation Carriers Limited (NMG), which distributes papers throughout Africa an now internationally.
